At Netflix, the Article Insights team brings context to content - defining it, describing it, and capturing its essence - to help our members connect with the content they'll love. As a Metadata Technologist, you will be responsible for creating, steering, and executing new ideas and approaches that carry further context to Netflix content from pitch to play. This covers the full range of new metadata development, from ideation with key stakeholders to business-case development, to promotion, buy-in, testing, and full productization across team verticals.

- Expand the possibilities and potential of context that can be derived using algorithmic technology, driving innovation that both takes us deeper into content knowledge and unlocks richer part value opportunities.
- Build new partnerships and strengthen existing ones by identifying potential new areas of collaboration and innovations that challenge the status quo.
- Lead system thinking within our algorithmic and automation drives by determining, validating, and building consensus on key strategies while acquiring promotion and buy-in from key stakeholders.
- Manage projects from ideation to execution, working cross-functionally to pilot and launch new ideas and approaches whenever they have been validated.
Requirements:
- Experience working with, developing, and managing innovative metadata or labeling systems on a global scale with the use of algorithmic technology.
- Able to master understanding of the various approaches and techniques for using algorithmic technology and the pros/cons of each.
- Proven track record of technical innovation, seen through to productization, particularly in high-scale production and publication environments.
- Experience managing projects across the development and execution lifecycle within highly cross-functional, non-hierarchical or matrixed work environments.
- Passion for storytelling with a deep knowledge of the worlds of TV, movies, gaming, and entertainment.
