Job Summary

We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Virtual Staff Physician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you'll provide direct patient care, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care and support to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including prescribing medications, creating and monitoring treatment plans, and supporting patients through regular follow-ups (80%)
  • Issue medication prescriptions, order laboratory tests, and interpret test results to inform patient care
  • Deliver patient education on medications, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Refer patients to specialized care as needed, following established screening guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality medical records and clinical documentation
  • Provide medical care, patient education, and medication management in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner
  • Cover critical outreach shifts, including weekends and evenings, to support remote monitoring and patient care
  • Provide training, clinical oversight, and mentorship to NPs, PAs, and MAs (20%)
  • Support the hiring and onboarding of new clinical staff, create training materials, and conduct clinical audits

Requirements

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted license in 15-20+ states
  • Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine (strongly preferred)
  • Obesity management certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability to cover at least three critical outreach shifts per week
  • Experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and digital technology

What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $210,000 - $225,000 per year, as well as the opportunity to work with a innovative and mission-driven organization.
