Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help us scale our software and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, elasticity, and seamless customer experiences. As a key member of our team, you will design, build, and run distributed cloud architectures, collaborate with our product team to develop system architecture, and participate in our on-call team to resolve issues and improve our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and run distributed cloud architectures and large-scale web-based applications
- Collaborate with the product team to develop system architecture and ensure efficient hardware resource utilization
- Participate in our on-call team to resolve issues, improve our platform, and enhance customer experiences
- Work with our backend code, ClickHouse, and other technologies to ensure seamless system operation
- Improve high-availability, elasticity, observability, and disaster recovery
- Automate processes, upgrade customer accounts, and ensure dynamic resource allocation
Technologies We Use:
- OpenResty, Varnish, Redis, Python, C++, ClickHouse, Zookeeper, Grafana, Loki, Mimir, Terraform, and Ansible
What You Bring:
- Experience designing, building, and running distributed cloud architectures and large-scale web-based applications
- Programming skills in Python, C++, and willingness to dive into our codebase and other software
- Accountability, enthusiasm, and a bias for action, iteration, and delivery
- System thinking, attention to edge cases, failure modes, and behaviors
- Comfortable collaborating and communicating asynchronously and directly with the team
- Empathy for building intuitive and maintainable software, with a focus on documentation and knowledge sharing
