Sr. Staff Accountant - Remote

Our client is seeking a Staff or Sr. Staff Accountant who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is eager to own key accounting functions from journal entries to audit prep. Highlighted Duties:
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month-end close and financial reporting
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Maintain fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation
• Reconcile fixed asset accounts monthly
• Reconcile AP subledger to general ledger
• Coordinate with AP Clerk on coding, cutoffs, and discrepancies
• Monitor AR aging and support collections
• Apply customer payments and credit memos
• Reconcile AR balances and resolve issues
• Assist with daily cash reporting and bank reconciliations
• Track wire transfers and cash disbursements
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Maintain organized, audit-ready records
• Support internal control and process improvements
Highlighted Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• 2–5 years of accounting experience
• Must have experience in manufacturing or logistics (inventory-driven environment)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations);
• ERP systems experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong follow-through
• Ability to work independently and ask questions when clarification is needed
• Positive, adaptable, and comfortable in a roll-up-your-sleeves culture
