The Flight technical writer candidate will be a member of the Lockheed Martin - Rotary and Mission Systems Business Area, with focus in the Sikorsky Aircraft Line of Business (LOB) Technical publications team supporting US Government Sales, Foreign Military Sale (FMS), and direct commercial sales of Technical Manuals. The primary purpose of this position is to act as a Technical Flight Writer of all Sikorsky Helicopters Flight Operators technical publications for Hawk and commercial program. The technical writer is responsible for all aircraft operational content within the Technical Manuals and will coordinate with all program Engineering and Pilots Teams as required to meet all contractual obligations. The Flight writer will also manage, direct, and QA the writing/offload effort of Technical Manual projects and must be able to clearly and effectively communicate technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. This candidate acts as subject matter expert for flight requirements on the Hawk platforms. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner. Desired skills Understanding of Military and Commercial, FAA, Flight manuals. A&P license or military experience is desired, experience in Logistics/Aircraft maintenance and Flight Crew procedures preferred. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
