The Department of Technology, Management and Budgetsupports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance and support. This position is within the Agency Services area supporting MDE, CEPI, MCSC, MDCR, & MiLEAP. This position functions as an QA analyst, within a team of technology professionals. This position helps with design, development, testing, and on-going enhancements that support the Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) and the following agency systems. This position works in a team-based environment to perform quality assurance testing for the following CEPI applications along with the testing of on-going enhancements: • AppSecure • Educational Entity Master (EEM) • Financial Information Database (FID) • Graduation and Dropout (GAD, GradDrop, Cohort) • Michigan Education Data Portal (MiSchool Data) • Michigan Post-Secondary Data Inventory (MPDI) • Michigan Student Data System (MSDS) • Michigan Student Longitudinal Data System (MSLDS) • Nonpublic School Personnel Report (NSPR) • Registry of Educational Personnel (REP) • School Infrastructure Database (SID) • Student Transcript and Academic Record Repository (STARR) This position is responsible for participation on application development projects which focus on achieving the goals and mission of the agency. This position has responsibilities in all phases of the software development lifecycle related to these systems. Knowledge of quality assurance testing platform(s) as listed within the knowledge skills and abilities section of this position description. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees. Education Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics. Experience Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement. OR Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.
