Insurance Services Specialist - Authorization Specialist - Remote potential post 90 days on site
About the position
Responsibilities
• Complete and assist with insurance verification and authorizations.
• Conduct financial screening to secure maximum reimbursement for Lee Health System.
• Communicate effectively with patients and insurance entities via telephone.
• Utilize extensive computer knowledge to navigate and interpret information from various sources.
• Prioritize tasks and manage high volume work queues efficiently.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in clerical/administrative roles, preferably in healthcare insurance.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR System is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• IT/computer proficiency is required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing is helpful.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with healthcare insurance processes is preferred.
