Associate Director - Utah Women & Leadership Project - Utah State University - Logan, UT - work from home job Company: Utah State University Job description: Overview Working in collaboration with the Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) Director, the Associate Director (Program Specialist) will be involved in the planning and implementation of research, resources, and events that align with the overall mission and goals of the UWLP and A Bolder Way Forward (BWF). This includes research, writing, and editing; strategic and project planning; team management; resource development and initiative creation; grants/fundraising and outreach; and involvement with other elements of the Project. Responsibilities 50% RESEARCH/WRITING/TEAM MANAGEMENT: • Manages teams of researchers and writers. • Researches, writes, and edits reports on a wide variety of topics surrounding Utah women, including multicultural and other related areas. • Creates timelines and projections for producing long-term research efforts. • Identifies and works with community and state experts to ensure quality of research reports. 20% STRATEGIC/PROJECT PLANNING, PARTNERSHIPS, AND PROGRAM REPRESENTATION • Works with Director in refining the overall strategic directions of the UWLP and BWF. • Plans initiatives that align with Project mission and goals. • Manages communication with select BWF and other community partners and affiliates, representing the Project and BWF as a key team member. • As needed, assists in planning and executing events and gatherings. • On occasion, delivers presentations on various topics to community and school groups. • Represents Project to media outlets and community groups, as needed. 20% GRANTS & FUNDRAISING: • Explores grants that align with the program mission and objectives. • Coordinates with grant office to write, edit, refine, and submit grant proposals. • Assists Director, as needed, with exploring individuals and corporations that have an interest in donating • Manages logistics of donations and facilitates communication with ongoing and potential donors. 10% RESOURCES, SPECIAL INITIATIVES, AND EVALUATION: • Works with Director in conceiving, planning, and overseeing special initiatives and programs, creates and disseminates related resources. • Works with team members to disseminate Project resources. • In partnership with the Director, designs and implements the evaluation of research, programs, and other initiatives.
