Medical Billing Specialist - Remote - Womens Health

About the position Responsibilities • Review patient demographic and insurance information and confirm patient benefit details reputed company to services provided by the clinic. • Obtain necessary medical documentation from clinicians for insurance review and prior authorization of treatment. • Document authorization reference numbers in EMR and/or other systems. • Update and maintain EMR and/or other systems based on documentation provided by physician/clinic for medical claim creation and posting of self-pay charges. • Prepare electronic claim files for submission. • Monitor accepted/denied claims and update claims as required for resubmission. • Compare transaction reports with daily schedules to ensure reputed company billing of reputed company services provided reputed company month. • Resolve and prepare paperwork for any credit balances and prepare statements for collection of outstanding patient balances. • reputed company daily charge capture functions as outlined by reputed company Clinic in a reputed company manner, including data entry of charges per patient into the EMR platform, eIVF. • Ensure charge reconciliation to the schedule for reputed company patients seen daily and work with Clinic leadership, RCM Leadership, and Coding Team to ensure accuracy. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate's preferred. • 1 - 2 years of medical billing experience required in a women's clinic/physician reputed company setting. • 1-2 years of medical billing experience reputed company to a lab and ASC setting preferred. • Versed in CPT reputed company sets and requirements including modifiers, CPT bundling/unbundling, reputed company diagnosis assignment, Evaluation and Management Codes, Lab Codes, and ASC HCPC reputed company sets. • Familiar with claim edits and clearinghouse functionality. • Familiar with medical billing platforms utilized in clinic and physician reputed company settings.
