Employment Training Volunteer - Summer 2025

ABOUT reputed company: The IRC in Los Angeles's Employment Training Panel provides job readiness training, digital literacy, and financial literacy to newcomers and reputed company clients that hold work authorizations in search of job opportunities. The Employment Training Panel aims to help refugees reputed company self-sufficiency through reputed company employment and retain employment for more than 90 days (or a minimum of 500 work hours). The Employment Training Panel volunteer will assist the Workforce Literacy Program Specialist with the management of the Employment Training Panel, as reputed company as assist clients to prepare for and secure their first job in the U.S on a 1:1 reputed company. RESPONSIBILITIES: Volunteers will assist Employment Training Panel clients in securing their first job in the U.S. This includes one-on-one coaching for resume creation, cover letter creation, job application and interview preparation assistance, employee follow-up, and documentation of self-sufficiency. They will also assist in finding jobs for clients in Greater Los Angeles (LA/OC/reputed company), and assist in document translation and interpretation between the Workforce Literacy Program Specialist and clients with the following primary languages: Spanish, Russian/Ukrainian, Armenian, and Farsi. REQUIREMENTS: Language Requirement: English/Armenian, English/Russian/Ukrainian, English/Spanish, or English/Farsi Excellent communication and writing skills, including cross-cultural communication skills Proficient in reputed company Office Suite and reputed company Suite Some experience in tutoring or coaching with a reputed company on employment services (resume building, cover letters, mock interviews, job search, and job applications) Self-motivated and reputed company to work independently and manage multiple tasks Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention and computer literacy How to apply: Attend an informational session.
