As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in providing top-notch support to our Review Team, interacting with beneficiaries and providers, and helping to improve the lives of individuals across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service support to the Review Team, including interacting with beneficiaries and providers via the helpline
  • Create, format, and proofread letters, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with external customers to furnish and request review information
  • Foster positive working relationships between Arsenault's internal and external customers
  • Participate in identifying areas for potential improvement, as noted on case reviews and processes
  • Answer the Beneficiary Helpline, determining how to best assist callers and referring them to external agencies as needed
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of correspondence, including mailing and validation of notices and medical records
  • Provide intake for all appeals received by Arsenault, utilizing internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of clerical experience, including word processing, filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with a courteous and patient demeanor
  • Strong written communication skills, with good grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-high school business courses
  • Medical terminology knowledge or experience
  • Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology
  • Previous data entry or other clerical experience
  • General knowledge of PC-based computer systems and software packages
