About the Position
Jobtacular is excited to present a unique opportunity for creatives who love to write but are tired of being boxed into traditional 9-to-5 schedules. We're working with a media-forward digital marketing platform that’s building out its distributed content team and offering copywriting jobs remote—a role perfect for self-starters with a passion for storytelling, product description, email copy, and social media blurbs. If you're someone who enjoys weaving words together to get people to take action—but doesn't want to be micromanaged, overworked, or chained to Slack all day—keep reading.
This is a fully remote, contractor-based position. No phone calls. No Zoom fatigue. Just consistent writing assignments, clear briefs, and weekly pay for doing what you do best.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Let’s be real: most job descriptions for copywriting roles are either super vague (“be a brand voice ninja!”) or ask for 10 years of experience writing direct response ads for unicorn startups. This isn’t that. Here's what this job actually entails:
– Writing short-form and medium-form content like product descriptions, promo blurbs, email headlines, and landing page copy
– Following simple briefs with tone/style guidance (think playful, educational, or direct response)
– Writing within templates that make it easy to plug and play (especially for things like promotional emails or sale announcements)
– Editing and revising your own work for clarity, grammar, and punchiness
– Occasionally collaborating with other writers or editors via asynchronous comments or feedback threads (no meetings)
– Using tools like Google Docs, Notion, or Trello to receive tasks and submit completed work
Is This Job Right for You?
If you're Googling copywriting jobs remote, chances are you’re:
– Burned out from trying to land “real” agency roles without an ad school portfolio
– A skilled writer who wants freelance flexibility but is tired of chasing down clients
– Looking for remote income that doesn’t involve customer service, cold calls, or surveys
– Hoping to build your writing career without gatekeepers, ghostwriting, or unpaid “test” assignments
This job fits that bill. It’s beginner-friendly. It’s structured. And yes—it's actually paid.
Your Toolkit (No Fancy Tech Required)
– A working laptop or desktop (any OS works as long as you can access Google Workspace)
– A reliable internet connection (you’ll be uploading docs and checking dashboards)
– Basic grammar knowledge and a solid sense of tone and pacing
– Familiarity with Google Docs formatting (headers, bold text, line spacing, comments)
– Ability to manage your time and work independently—no one’s going to babysit you here
– Optional but helpful: understanding of SEO basics, CTA writing, or basic copy frameworks like PAS or AIDA
Pay, Workflow, and Scheduling
Writers are paid a flat hourly rate of $25/hr during the first 2 weeks (training phase). After completing 20 assignments with satisfactory feedback, most writers are bumped to $30/hr. High performers and editors can earn $35/hr or more. You’re not paid per word or per piece—you’re paid for time spent working on assigned briefs and revisions, tracked via timestamps or Asana logs.
You’ll choose your availability weekly and can work as few as 15 hours or as many as 40. Shifts are flexible—you can complete tasks at any time of day, provided they meet the weekly deadline. There's no “clock in” system, just clear communication about when your tasks will be submitted.
A Real Day in This Role
Let’s say it’s a Tuesday morning. You check your task dashboard and see three assignments:
– Write 5 product blurbs for a new fitness gear line (100 words each)
– Draft an email sequence for a back-to-school skincare promo (subject lines, headlines, and body copy)
– Refresh a landing page to make it more action-driven based on notes from the growth team
You grab a coffee, review the brand guidelines, and start with the product blurbs—playful tone, with 2–3 product benefits each. Next, you structure the emails using the PAS framework. Each one ends with a CTA to click for a discount. You leave comments where you're unsure, and move on to the landing page rewrite. You tighten the headline, add urgency to the CTA, and tweak the testimonials section for flow. Three hours later, you submit everything and log your time. Done.
No meetings. No Slack pings. No last-minute chaos. Just focused writing and weekly pay.
Here’s What Our Writers Say
“I applied thinking it’d be another clickbait content farm. It’s not. The briefs are clear, the tone is fun, and I’m never stuck rewriting the same blog post for hours. If you love writing but hate pitching—this is for you.” – Keira M., Miami, FL
“I didn’t have any formal experience, but I followed the training and now I’m working 25 hours a week while traveling through Europe. I’ve never had more creative freedom in a paid job.” – Zach H., Berlin, Germany
