Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Middle School World Language Teacher - Spanish to facilitate learning, academic achievement, and personal development in our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum and lesson plans, utilizing technology to facilitate learning, and demonstrating an understanding of the varying learning styles and needs of a diverse student population. Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning, academic achievement, and personal development in students by providing instruction and support
• Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans that cater to the needs of a diverse student population
• Utilize technology to facilitate learning and engage students in the learning process
• Demonstrate an understanding of the varying learning styles and needs of students, including those with special needs
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to promote student achievement
• Maintain contact and communications with parents and work with them in the development of each student
• Participate in staff development and professional growth activities to maintain current teacher certifications and stay up-to-date with best practices

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Middle School World Language-Spanish Endorsement(s) registered in Lake County
• Considerable knowledge of core curriculum areas, educational philosophy, teaching methods, and currently researched best practices and strategies
• Excellent listening skills, skill in classroom management and organization, and ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and other school staff
• Ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse student populations and apply the principles of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Intervention (RTI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or a related field
• Experience in teaching Middle School World Language - Spanish
• Knowledge of instructional technologies and ability to utilize computer and multimedia technology to facilitate learning
• Ability to work in a cooperative learning environment and team-teach with other educators
• Experience in developing and implementing curriculum and lesson plans that cater to the needs of a diverse student population
