About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Information Engineering and Analysis team within our Innovation group. As a key member of this team, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions that empower our organization to make informed decisions. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive business outcomes through data engineering and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and maintain analytics solutions that provide actionable insights
- Develop and implement data movement and data engineering solutions using cloud-based technologies, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Databricks
- Participate in various aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering, ingestion, deployment, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, and maintenance
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with team members to drive project goals and objectives
- Work independently and as part of a DevOps team that owns and supports their products
- Design and implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies
- Develop coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
- Mentor others on technical and domain skills to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth
Requirements for Success
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience in software development using agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and experience working in a product model that includes planning, developing, and executing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis using SQL
- 2+ years of experience in cloud development and data lake experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure, including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, and Azure Power Applications
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Unix, and SQL
- Experience with data platforms, including Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, and Snowflake
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud Technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Power Applications
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development using agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and experience working in a product model that includes planning, developing, and executing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis using SQL
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development, preferably with Azure
- 3+ years of experience in cloud development and data lake experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure
- Aircraft industry experience
- Certifications in Azure Technology stack, data management, data ingestion, and processing
