About the position
Responsibilities
• Analyze criminal history and related information to establish registration requirements for sex or arson offenders.
• Assess California registration requirements for sex offenders convicted in out-of-state, federal, military, or foreign courts.
• Evaluate registration requirements for juvenile sex offenders.
• Process requests for offender information from law enforcement and criminal justice agencies.
• Collect and prepare documentation for assessment review by the Deputy Attorney General staff.
Requirements
• Strong critical and analytical skills.
• Experience with reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting data.
• Knowledge of the criminal justice process.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to conduct thorough research.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
