About the Role: Delivering Exceptional Customer Experiences Remotely
As a Senior Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the cornerstone of our customer service team, providing compassionate and effective support to our members across the U.S. This is a unique chance to work in a dynamic, remote environment where your skills and experience will shine. Primary Responsibilities: Leading with Excellence
- Serve as a resource or Subject Matter Expert (SME) for other team members or internal customers, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Handle escalated calls with finesse, resolving complex customer issues in a one-and-done manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Respond to incoming phone calls from customers, identifying their needs and providing appropriate assistance, whether it's related to benefits, billing, authorizations, or explanations of benefits.
- Engage actively with customers, asking pertinent questions and listening attentively to understand their concerns, while meticulously documenting required information in our systems.
- Intercede on behalf of customers with care providers (such as doctor's offices) to facilitate appointment scheduling or connect them with internal specialists for further assistance.
- Empower customers to navigate blithequark's digital resources, encouraging self-sufficiency and confidence in managing their health and benefits.
- Own problems from start to resolution, ensuring timely and comprehensive follow-up, and collaborating with support resources and other teams as necessary to resolve escalated issues.
- Provide education and status updates on pre-authorizations or pre-determination requests, keeping customers informed every step of the way.
- Meet and exceed performance goals in areas such as efficiency, call quality, provider satisfaction, first call resolution, and attendance, continually striving for excellence.
What We Look For: Essential Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED, marking the foundation of your educational background.
- Being at least 18 years of age, ensuring you're ready to take on the responsibilities of this role.
- Familiarity with computer applications, particularly Windows PC applications, and a keen ability to learn new and complex systems.
- The capacity to successfully complete our comprehensive Customer Service training program and demonstrate proficiency in the material covered.
- Flexibility to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week), with shifts that may vary between Sunday to Saturday, 8am-11pm EST, and the occasional need to work overtime.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience That Matters
- At least 1 year of experience as a Customer Service Representative, or in an office, call center, or phone support role, where you've honed your customer interaction skills.
