Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interactions: Listen to customers, understand their needs, and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Account Management: Utilize systems and technology to complete account management tasks, including updating customer information and processing transactions.
  • Sales and Upselling: Recognize sales opportunities and apply sales skills to upgrade customers to new products and services.
  • Product and Process Knowledge: Explain and position products and processes with customers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of our offerings.
  • Issue Escalation: Appropriately escalate customer dissatisfaction to the managerial team, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing customer churn.
  • First Call Resolution: Ensure first call resolution through problem-solving and effective call handling, reducing the need for follow-up interactions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Age and Education: Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and a basic understanding of Windows operating system.
  • Typing Speed: The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words a minute).
  • Reliability and Attendance: Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow-up on customer issues, with a strong aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a contact center or customer service environment.
  • Sales Experience: Experience in sales or upselling, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Technical Experience: Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant technologies.

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment, with the majority of work being performed from home. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
