Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Manage the day-to-day operational activities that drive strategic plans for designated areas, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives.
- Team Management: Direct teams assigned to projects, overseeing executions and ensuring resources are allocated effectively according to strategic plans.
- Data Strategy Development: Plan, create, and execute strategies, processes, and frameworks to unite and analyze diverse data sets, including both structured and unstructured data.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for complex issues, developing programming programs, algorithms, dashboards, data tools, and queries to clean, model, integrate, and analyze datasets.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of new scientific techniques and technologies, proactively managing issues and identifying opportunities for remediation and improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with functional specialty units to drive business solutions and direction, establishing credibility with partners and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
- Budget Management: May develop and manage budgets for functional areas, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
To excel as a Manager, Data Science at blithequark, you'll need:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, laying the foundation for a career in data science.
- Technical Skills: Experience with analytical and statistical programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, and others to perform analysis and interpret data.
- SQL Proficiency: Deep knowledge of SQL, a critical tool for data manipulation and analysis.
