Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Personal Lines Customer Service Representative to join our team at Blithequark. As the primary contact for clients, you will be responsible for providing effective customer service for personal lines customers by using excellent in-depth knowledge of our insurance products. Key Responsibilities

  • Properly respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous manner and on a timely basis.
  • Initiate endorsements and other policy changes for customers.
  • Process and transmit (via fax, email, or mail) necessary information to clients and brokers such as ID Cards, DEC pages, applications, quotes, etc.
  • Assist applicants and brokers with completion of the application and required forms.
  • Assist the underwriting team to obtain information from clients and brokers.
  • Escalate customer service issues to management as needed.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Provide assistance to clients to answer questions and resolve issues, including billing questions and policy changes.
  • Actively look to round out accounts by referring other value-added services.
  • Review and re-write current accounts to carriers that will better fit the client's needs.
  • Maintain client information and files, including communication and activities in the agency management system.
  • Keep abreast of changes in carrier plans and policies.
  • Continue education as needed.
  • Build relationships with clients, carriers, and agents.

Essential Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or recognized equivalent is required.
  • Property & Casualty Producer's License preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, insurance, or a related field.

Computer Skills

  • Basic PC skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with agency management systems and other insurance software.

Other Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must possess excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
