About the Job

We are seeking a Senior GL Bookkeeper who will work with our existing team to drive interaction improvement for our operational cost capability. You will work cross-functionally to achieve business objectives by driving forward process improvements and ensuring accurate reporting of operational costs. You will report to the Senior Bookkeeping Director in our Accounting group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of a leading food delivery company.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for specific areas of the general ledger.
• Be a key owner of the monthly close cycle for ourselves and external entities for specifically assigned functional areas.
• Ensure financial records are maintained for Management and GAAP Combined financial summaries using accepted methodologies.
• Assist in providing expectations to external auditors on annual reviews and quarterly reviews.
• Communicate with FP&A, functional partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters.
• Perform special investigations and projects to further our cycle improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a self-motivated and independent individual who is ready to think freely, innovatively, and entrepreneurially. You should have a "make it happen" attitude, be able to handle pressure well, and be modest and resilient. You should also have sharp business acumen and process-oriented skills, be data-focused and unafraid to go down to the lowest level of detail for truth and a high level of accuracy. Additionally, you should have excellent communication, oral, and written skills, including strong proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB principles, SOX/internal controls.
• Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite preferred.
• Four-year degree in Accounting, CPA certification an asset.
• Solid spreadsheet skills, with the ability to manage and process large amounts of data.
