Our team works tirelessly to ensure that our data is precise, efficient, and effective, and we're always looking for talented individuals who share our passion for data and storytelling. **Key Responsibilities** As a Details Expert I, you'll be responsible for: * Ensuring the accuracy of sports information disseminated by Details and Data Gathering * Working individually and in teams to deliver precise, timely, and engaging data to power our digital and television products * Creating and maintaining a working knowledge of Details and Data's role in fueling ESPN's digital and television products * Conducting thorough reviews of your own work and that of others, maintaining a high level of scrutiny and attention to detail * Contributing to the development of new projects, initiatives, and drives across the newsroom, and supporting newsroom leaders in coordinating full-time and part-time staff * Anticipating potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and proposing potential solutions * Collaborating with colleagues to develop or refine production processes * Participating actively in team and office meetings * Seeking and responding to feedback on personal performance * Staying up-to-date on current office policies and procedures **Required Capabilities** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * Working knowledge of sports teams, players, and the rules of the games * Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports data that powers ESPN's digital and television products * Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production circumstances * Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, with production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often in the midst of a busy newsroom **Preferred Capabilities** While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable: * 1+ years of experience working in sports or data, ideally in media * Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and for research purposes * Working knowledge of ESPN products and productions * Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools * Experience leading or training a team * Ability to speak and write Spanish * Experience incorporating social media in a business or news context **Required Education** A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role. **Preferred Education** A post-secondary education or equivalent is highly desirable. **Work Environment and Culture** As a Details Expert I, you'll be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team that's passionate about delivering elite information, insights, and storytelling.
