Role Description
Mercor is seeking experienced first-line supervisors of production and operating workers to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This engagement focuses on diagnosing and solving real issues in manufacturing supervision through hands-on scenario creation and validation. It's an opportunity to contribute your expertise to cutting-edge AI research while working independently and remotely on your own schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world production supervision work in manufacturing based on your professional experience
- Create realistic situations involving team leadership, workflow coordination, quality control, and safety compliance
- Develop scenarios for handling scheduling, training, performance management, and production troubleshooting
- Review and evaluate AI responses to manufacturing supervision queries for accuracy and industry standards
- Provide detailed feedback on production management scenarios to improve AI training
Qualifications
- 4+ years professional experience as a first-line supervisor of production and operating workers in manufacturing
- Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities
- Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems
- Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills
- Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz
- Average 14 years experience preferred
Requirements
- Fully remote and asynchronous — complete work on your own schedule
- Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours
- Project start date: immediately, lasting for around 6 weeks
Compensation & Contract Terms
- Independent contractor engagement through Mercor
- Hourly compensation, paid weekly via Stripe Connect
- Payments based on services rendered; contractors maintain full control over their work schedule and methods
