About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Management Examiner and Data Quality Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Information Management Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our data. You will be responsible for creating and leading programs, drives for information quality, administration, and metadata exercises. You will also plan and direct complex investigations to identify and remediate data quality or credibility issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and lead programs, drives for information quality, administration, and metadata exercises
- Plan and direct complex investigations to identify and remediate data quality or credibility issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
- Analyze, review, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are met
- Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality reviews to benchmark the state of data quality
- Adhere to data management principles and procedures
- Develop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues
- Create and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources
- Lead project teams and guide less experienced staff members
- Drive planning and coordination on low to medium-sized remediation efforts, acting as primary point of contact
- Leverage domain expertise and knowledge of business, process, or data analysis to inform and support policy design
- Interview clients to assess the current status of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to develop company-wide data management strategies
- Provide input into communication schedules with stakeholders, colleagues, and senior leaders
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including:
- Experience in Information Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of data management principles and procedures
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates with:
- Experience in US regulatory reporting testing and quality assurance, including production and management of regulatory reports in a major 4 (e.g., PWC, KPMG, E&Y, Deloitte) or a large financial institution (e.g., JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, Bank of America)
- Experience in project management
- Experience in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Experience documenting and reporting experimental results
- Experience using business intelligence and analytical tools
- Ability to navigate various systems and applications to investigate and identify current business documentation and procedures
- Experience with JIRA, ALM, and other project management tools
- Experience with programming languages, such as SAS, SQL, Python, R
- Ability to integrate data to tell a story and adjust information to contrast or compare with industry perspective and historical business trends
- Knowledge and understanding of creating and preparing executive summaries, whitepapers, and presentations for management/senior leaders
- Ability to work and influence effectively within a matrix environment and build strong business relationships with all levels of colleagues
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and ability to present data testing results across the organization at all levels
