They are seeking a Part-time Copy Editor to ensure content quality through copyediting, fact-checking, and proofreading across various platforms while collaborating with writers and producers. Responsibilities • Copyedit and fact-check all editorial pieces, headlines, show descriptions, and social content. • Review and refine scripts for podcasts, video segments, and narrative storytelling formats. • Ensure all published materials meet brand tone, journalistic ethics, and legal accuracy. • Coordinate with editors and writers to resolve feedback and finalize copy in Google Docs. • Manage copy flow and deadlines using Trello and internal CMS tools. • Publish and maintain articles, show notes, and multimedia content through WordPress. • Maintain high-quality standards across short-form and long-form features, ensuring accuracy, taste, and style consistency. Skills • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a copy editor for a daily or high-volume publication • Strong command of both Chicago and AP style guides • Expertise in editing for grammar, punctuation, tone, and clarity under tight deadlines • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced editorial environment • Experience working with digital media and proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS platforms • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and editorial judgment • Familiarity with sports, pop culture, and multimedia content editing Company Overview • Recruitment and Staffing Services for Digital, Creative, and Marketing Professionals.
