<b>About the Role</b> <br><br>We are seeking a skilled and experienced Account Executive to lead our dynamic Surety team in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities Include</b> <br><br><ul><li>Serve as strategic point of contact for client; Conduct and coordinate client services.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with clients on an enterprise-wide basis; Work in the best interest of the client and the company to secure appropriate compensation for the company.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Review book of business production reports and account receivable (A/R) reports for accuracy upon receipt, delegate follow up accordingly</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Cultivate local carrier relationships to support company visibility and credibility in the construction surety marketplace.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting appetites and contacts and recommend appropriate markets for client programs</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Analyze client risk profile and develop marketing strategy with the team and client</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Compile and/or approve complete and accurate large project and program submissions and deliver to underwriters; Provide timely responses to underwriter submission inquiries</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Supports team in response to requests for proposals (RFP)</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Identify the surety needs of clients and prospects. Develop and recommend appropriate products and services.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Presents custom solutions to clients and prospects in a clear and professional manner</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Provide thought leadership, embracing change and innovation as the industry evolves</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Achieve new business sales goals; Retain a minimum of 95% of individual book of business year over year</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Positively and proactively represents American Global in meetings, seminars, trade shows, networking events, industry associations, organizations, boards and charities, as appropriate.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Demonstrate proficiency in the sales discovery process (due diligence)</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Clearly promote American Global's competitive differentiation in written and verbal presentations</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Demonstrate strong knowledge of competitors to aid in company prospecting efforts</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Build and develop relationship with centers of influence</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Additional responsibilities as required</li></ul><br><br><b>Skills & Experience That Lead to Success:</b> <br><br><ul><li>Strong technical property and casualty knowledge</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Proven ability to present and clearly explain information to clients</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Proven ability to clearly explain problems/concerns to co-workers, supervisors and/or agency principals and suggest/recommend solutions</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Competence in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Adobe</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Ability to drive strategy</li><li>Professional fluency in French (spoken and written)</li></ul><br><br><b>Additional/Preferred Qualifications:</b> <br><br><ul><li>College degree preferred</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Ability to travel as required</li></ul><br><br><b>What You Can Expect From Us:</b> <br><br><ul><li>Comprehensive Benefits Package</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Collaborative and innovative environment</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Culture of continuous learning and professional development</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Competitive salary package</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>401k with above-average employer match of up to 5% of your salary</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Leadership training and support</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Work/Life Balance (Summer Fridays, flexible work arrangements and mental health services)</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Education and Student Loan Assistance</li></ul><br><br>American Global is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
