As a chemistry tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' academic success and helping them achieve their full potential. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced chemistry tutor to join our team on a part-time basis. As a chemistry tutor, you will work closely with students to help them understand and master the concepts of organic and biochemistry. You will provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter and improve their academic performance. **Responsibilities** As a chemistry tutor, your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing individualized support and guidance to students in organic and biochemistry courses * Helping students to understand and master the concepts of chemistry, including organic and biochemistry * Assisting students with lecture and lab material, as well as study methods and technology needed to complete course-related material * Greeting students and visitors, and providing general information about the college and its services * Tutoring students in person at either the main campus or at our Akron location, with online tutoring available based on hourly needs **Requirements** To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements: * A Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a closely related field, with course(s) in general chemistry and organic chemistry * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues * Microsoft Office application skills, with comfort using technology to support teaching and learning * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to student success **Preferred Qualifications** While a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a closely related field is required, we also welcome applications from individuals with a Master's degree or higher in chemistry or a related field.
