**Job Summary**
As a Manager State & Higher Education, you'll play a critical role in executing the strategic direction of blithequark's State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. You'll coach and help to professionally develop the Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management, driving sales growth and establishing formal partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to blithequark's vision of being the preferred airline for business travel.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales, establish formal partnerships, and broaden awareness of blithequark's corporate travel programs and services to SLED managed travel accounts
* Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve sales and revenue growth targets
* Identify, hire, onboard, and train a sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
* Analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions and drive growth
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, procurement officers, and travel managers
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
**Essential Qualifications**
* 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the managed travel industry
* Proven track record of success in managing sales teams and developing strategic partnerships
* Strong understanding of the SLED managed travel market and its key players
* Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
* Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions
* Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
* Familiarity with blithequark's products and services
* Knowledge of the airline industry and its trends
* Certification in sales or marketing, such as the Certified Travel Associate (CTA) or Certified Sales Professional (CSP)
* Experience working with government agencies or procurement officers
