About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Keasbey, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of subjects, including but not limited to math, science, English, history, and social studies, to students of different ages and skill levels
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, adapting to the needs and abilities of your students
• Manage classroom behavior, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, providing regular updates on student progress and any concerns that may arise
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

Essential Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous direct supervisor
• NJ Substitute Credential
• Background check and TB risk assessment (Scoot Education will cover the cost of this)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination
• A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience
• Special education training or experience
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
