Headquartered in Buford, Georgia, we have grown into a national powerhouse with a reputation built on three enduring pillars: People, Innovation, and Results. We empower our people with cutting‑edge tools, continuous learning opportunities, and a collaborative environment where fresh ideas are celebrated. At Delta Group, you’ll be part of a forward‑thinking organization that blends traditional investigative rigor with modern technology—enhancing the way we gather, analyze, and present information.

As a remote‑first company, we recognize the power of flexibility. Whether you are joining from a home office, a co‑working space, or a quiet café, you’ll have the autonomy to structure your day while staying deeply connected to the mission‑critical work that drives our clients’ success.

Why This Role Is a Perfect Fit for You

We’re seeking an analytical, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment. As a Preliminary Investigation Coordinator, you will serve as the first line of insight, turning raw data into actionable intelligence. If you enjoy digging through databases, mastering social‑media research, and delivering concise, high‑quality reports—all while working from the comfort of your own workspace—this role is designed for you.

Beyond the core responsibilities, you’ll become an essential liaison between case managers, account executives, and investigative teams, ensuring that every investigation starts on the right foot. Your work will directly influence the speed, accuracy, and credibility of our client deliverables, strengthening Delta Group’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities – Your Day‑to‑Day Impact

  • Dashboard Review & Prioritization: Scan client dashboards daily to identify cases requiring Immediate Action Plans (IAPs) or Preliminary Investigations, honoring the FIFO (first‑in‑first‑out) principle unless directed otherwise by a Case Manager or Account VP.
  • Comprehensive Report Analysis: Thoroughly examine database‑generated comprehensive reports, extracting critical details and accurately populating standardized templates with relevant information.
  • Deep‑Dive Research: Conduct supplemental research using internal databases, open‑source intelligence (OSINT) tools, and public records to uncover additional facts not captured in the initial report.
  • Social Media & Internet Scraping: Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other web sources to locate pertinent data about subjects, focusing on information that may affect claim validity.
  • Communication & Discrepancy Management: Maintain clear, proactive communication channels with Case Managers and Account Vice Presidents to flag discrepancies, request clarifications, and confirm findings.
  • Timely Delivery: Complete each IAP or Preliminary Investigation within an average target of 30 minutes, while exercising sound judgment when cases demand more in‑depth analysis.
  • Accurate Data Entry: Input findings, notes, and status updates into the case management system efficiently and without error.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, edit, and format correspondence, investigative memos, reports, and email communications, ensuring professional tone and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general clerical assistance, including file organization, record retrieval, and handling of confidential materials with utmost discretion.
  • Verification Calls: Conduct outbound verification calls when required, confirming information accuracy and documenting outcomes in the system.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice, business, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience: Proven track record (minimum 2 years) in investigative research, compliance, data analysis, or a similar role that demanded rigorous attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced competence with Microsoft Office Suite—especially Word, Excel (including pivot tables and formulas), and Outlook.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English, with flawless grammar, punctuation, and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to remain seated for extended periods and operate standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, scanner, phone).
  • Professionalism: Strong sense of confidentiality, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive client data.
  • Organizational Talent: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Critical thinking skills that enable you to identify gaps, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions quickly.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Ability to interact politely and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications – Extras That Set You Apart

  • Experience with case management platforms (e.g., Clarity, Relativity, or similar).
  • Background in open‑source intelligence (OSINT) tools such as Maltego, SpiderFoot, or custom web‑scraping scripts.
  • Familiarity with legal or insurance claim investigation processes.
  • Advanced certifications in investigative techniques, data analytics, or information security.
  • Previous remote work experience with a proven record of productivity and self‑motivation.

Core Skills & Competencies – Your Success Toolkit

  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to dissect large data sets, spot patterns, and synthesize findings into concise narratives.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in reviewing documents, cross‑checking facts, and ensuring every report meets quality standards.
  • Time Management: Skill in balancing rapid turnaround expectations with thorough investigative rigor.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with shifting priorities, emerging technologies, and evolving client needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Openness to sharing knowledge, receiving feedback, and contributing to a supportive virtual team culture.
  • Ethical Judgment: Commitment to upholding legal standards, confidentiality agreements, and Delta Group’s code of conduct.

  • Training & Development Coordinator – designing and delivering internal training programs for investigative best practices.

We also sponsor certifications, provide enrollment in industry webinars, and host quarterly “Innovation Days” where teams share insights on emerging research tools, AI‑driven analytics, and best‑in‑class investigative techniques.
