Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate clinical competency and technical skills as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, positioning patients on the examining table and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum views of specific body areas as ordered by clinicians
- Use independent judgment to support radiological orders and perform procedures based on established technique charts
- Exhibit working knowledge and relationships with other departments as it relates to radiological services
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of patient care flow and insurance concepts
- Use appropriate technique charts and ensure markers are set appropriately
- Maintain logs for quality control (QC) based on manufacturers' recommendations
- Perform appropriate infection control processes
- Provide patient education pertaining to requested studies and aid in new staff orientation
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certification by the State of California to practice and administer radiation
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Basic computer knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- One (1) year of experience working under a Board-Certified Radiologist
- Previous experience in a similar role or healthcare setting
