About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate clinical competency and technical skills as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, positioning patients on the examining table and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum views of specific body areas as ordered by clinicians
  • Use independent judgment to support radiological orders and perform procedures based on established technique charts
  • Exhibit working knowledge and relationships with other departments as it relates to radiological services
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of patient care flow and insurance concepts
  • Use appropriate technique charts and ensure markers are set appropriately
  • Maintain logs for quality control (QC) based on manufacturers' recommendations
  • Perform appropriate infection control processes
  • Provide patient education pertaining to requested studies and aid in new staff orientation

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Certification by the State of California to practice and administer radiation
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Basic computer knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • One (1) year of experience working under a Board-Certified Radiologist
  • Previous experience in a similar role or healthcare setting
