About the position
Responsibilities
• Review documentation on patient records and assign CPT-4 codes and physician identification numbers for reputed company patient record.
• Identify errors, problems, or issues and present to Coding management for reputed company.
• Complete daily productivity reports.
• Attend departmental and training meetings as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnostic coding and CPT-4 procedural coding.
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
• Typing speed of 35-45 WPM.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPC, reputed company-P, or RHIT certification or eligibility reputed company two years.
• 1-3 years previous physician coding experience required or graduation from a coding technical school.
