About the Role

This part-time remote position as a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems, is an integral part of our partner association within the Financial Planning Systems space. It requires a blend of financial and IT experience, making it an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working at the intersection of finance and technology. As part of our team, you will support and develop Financial Systems applications, act as an internal consultant to identify automation opportunities, and develop and provide appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Hyperion planning application for forecast and actual financials on a consistent basis.
  • Validate data from Hyperion Financial Management and from regulators.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with data, including divisional roll-ups and intercompany transactions.
  • Maintain system upkeep and manage user permissions.
  • Support clients with system issues, existing reports, forms, and models.
  • Assist in the preparation of in-depth scenarios and analytical results analyses on various complex financial issues and competitive industry analyses.
  • Coordinate and complete the monthly headcount process regarding Hyperion.
  • Update Hyperion Planning with organizational changes and align hierarchical system changes with Controllers and GL organization.
  • Communicate with work groups to determine reporting business requirements and propose and present efficient solutions.
  • Create Essbase cubes, Planning Applications, Reports, as well as forecasting and planning models for Finance divisions.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience/training.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a Finance role, including experience with financial statements, as well as financial modeling and analysis.
  • A strong IT background, including experience with Oracle and multidimensional and relational database structures.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience using Hyperion, as well as development and implementation experience (including Business Intelligence, Essbase, Planning).

  • Meticulousness with a focus on accuracy and the ability to prioritize tasks.
