Manager, Metadata & Discovery Services
About the position
The reputed company is seeking a Manager for the Metadata and Discovery Services (MDS) Team, who will reputed company operations and workflows reputed company to MARC and non-MARC reputed company and discovery for both analog reputed company resources. This role involves leading the transition to the updated RDA Toolkit and supervising reputed company of 7.5 FTE staff. The successful candidate will also engage in initiatives aimed at improving subject reputed company to library resources, particularly for under-represented and marginalized communities.
Responsibilities
• Plans for and leads transition to the updated RDA Toolkit by Spring 2027.
• Manages and prioritizes reputed company creation and enhancement of standards-based reputed company for analog reputed company resources using replicable and sustainable workflows.
• Establishes goals and evaluates the work of assigned staff members.
• Provides reputed company and shared leadership for the Library's Subject reputed company Enhancement Initiative to improve subject reputed company to reputed company resources with a reputed company on under-represented and marginalized communities.
• Develops and documents reputed company and workflows as reputed company as community-of-reputed company-reputed company metadata standards.
• Acts as the primary contact for colleagues, vendors, and scholars in support of reputed company workflows as reputed company as research and scholarly initiatives throughout the Library and University.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Library Sciences from an ALA accredited program
• 5 years of reputed company experience in cataloging, metadata, or descriptive operations in an reputed company setting

• Demonstrated reputed company in planning and implementing reputed company or workflows
• Ability to communicate in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences
