Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Member Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Member Service Representative, you will be the voice of our organization, providing telephone assistance to Medicaid members and providers. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our callers receive an excellent experience every time they interact with us. You will be handling a variety of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards, among others. This position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering personalized health care solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming member and provider calls and responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
  • Providing accurate and timely information to callers, ensuring that their needs are met and their questions are answered.
  • Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity via an ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted) to access our systems and provide efficient service.
  • Participating in training sessions and using the equipment provided by blithequark to perform your duties effectively.
  • Maintaining performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals, ensuring that our service delivery meets the highest standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Must live within a commutable distance to our office locations, as occasional commuting may be required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Ability to work from home and demonstrate self-sufficiency in a remote work environment.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic, with the ability to meet performance standards and attendance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely in a call center setting, with a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare, and an understanding of the health care landscape.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a health care setting.
