Job description: About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant to support the Corporate Controllers General Ledger Reporting Tools. This position will provide business systems analysis for all projects, initiatives, and production support for the General Ledger reporting and Regulatory Data Repository (RDR) tools of the Controller’s Division in Corporate Finance. This lead position acts as a liaison and consultant between Corporate/LOB Finance teams and technical partners in planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated system solutions.
In this role, you will:
• Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams
• Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to companywide technology initiatives
• Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives
• Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements
• Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions
• Lead project or systems documentation, and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables
• Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems
• Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams
Required Qualifications, US:
• 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge and understanding of general ledger and financial accounting concepts, controls, and methodologies
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of relational databases
• Knowledge of basic SQL or similar querying methods to research and troubleshoot application issues
• Broad knowledge of computer applications and project management
• Knowledge and understanding of business requirement gathering and analysis
• Knowledge and understanding of application testing methodologies, tools, and execution
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools
• Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
• Knowledge and understanding of JIRA and Confluence.
• Ability to mentor and lead less-experienced team members
• Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
• Strong data analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
• Knowledge and understanding of governance and compliance expected from providing solutions in systems and technology domains
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to manage efforts that require integration of multiple technology systems, operations, or processes
• 4+ years of Financial Services experience
• BS/BA degree or higher.
