LOCATION: Downers Grove, Illinois JOB TITLE: Quality Coordinator BASE RATE PER HOUR: $30.00 SHIFT: Night Shift - 12 hour - 2-2-3 Schedule (Work every other weekend) HOURS: 6 PM until 6 AM with the ability to flex time between shifts as needed. Overtime and weekend work as needed. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required. This position will follow the preset alternative work schedule. SUMMARY Reporting to the Associate Manager of Quality Assurance. This position is a 12 Hour shift. Overtime is required. However, it may be necessary to rotate shifts or work flexible hours as needed to fill vacancies, support projects, or pursue personal development. This position will involve conducting routine tasks and supporting various responsibilities within the Quality Assurance Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Daily QA factory audit and process verification • Issuing Corrective Actions and work orders based on audit findings along with following up on closure. • First point of contact to respond to all Food Safety and Quality incidents on shifts • Track and process finished product holds and dispositions using SAP warehouse inventory management system. • Process vendor non-conformances in SAP • Assist with analytical testing. • Analytical Instruments and Equipment verification, maintenance & calibration • Verification of records (FS Process Controls, Quality Control Points, ext.) • Reviewing, filing and managing quality records and addressing deviations. • Maintain electronic quality data, support in trending and analyzing data. • Product evaluation setup and lead product evaluation for shift. • Support quality and food safety training • Other duties as assigned to support all QA Dept. roles in managing Food Safety and Quality systems EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE • HS Diploma or Equivalent is required • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, or related field, is preferred • 1-3 years previous manufacturing, quality or food safety experience is preferred • Strong interpersonal skills are required. • Must have knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Compensation and Benefits: The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $30.00. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
