Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Data Entry Specialist. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor and Pharmacy Manager, the successful candidate will provide exemplary service to multiple clients, including product manufacturers, physicians, patients, and internal customers. The primary goal of this role is to contribute to the profitability of blithequark by ensuring personal productivity and efficient use of material resources. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective systems to support the timely release of accurate information to diverse clients, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Process prescription intake for all programs specific to non-dispensing pharmacy prescriptions across multiple prescription brands, utilizing strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Log information into the appropriate pharmacy database and triage all prescriptions to the appropriate dispensing pharmacy, exercising attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Provide pharmacist support related to prescription processing as needed, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Assist with inbound call volume as received, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient and effective workflow, promoting a positive and professional working relationship with associates and management.
  • Run eligibility checks and test claims as needed for patient prescriptions, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Distribute prescriptions to appropriate Reimbursement Specialists and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of critical information.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous 3+ years of professional work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and prescription processing procedures.
  • A Pharmacy Technician license (National license preferred), with the ability to obtain licensure in the state of Texas if not currently licensed.
  • Strong computer application skills, with proficiency in pharmacy software and databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and management, with experience in data entry and prescription processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgment and make informed decisions.
