Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance, ensuring a personalized shopping experience
  • Learn about products using our tools and resources, staying up-to-date on the latest offerings and trends
  • Provide information to customers, answering questions and offering recommendations to sell an entire project
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in your department, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales process
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring a clean, shop-able, and safe environment for customers and colleagues
  • Work cooperatively with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments, to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Follow all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training and reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty

  • Knowledge of products and services, including building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen & bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on continuing education and professional development
