Job Summary
The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites
applicants to apply for a part-time, non-tenure-track, adjunct
faculty position in the BSN program. This appointment is made on a
semester-by-semester, as-needed basis. Salary is commensurate with
education, background, and experience.
Essential Functions
Duties vary depending on the program and need and include, but are
not limited to:
• Primary teaching of on-site nursing courses, conducting
clinical experiences for BSN students at one of the three BSN
campuses (Tyler, Longview, Palestine).
• Primary teaching in on-line courses for the RN-BSN and
Concurrent ADN-BSN.
• Assisting other classroom faculty as needed.
• Mentoring students.
• Participation in program meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in nursing
• Eligible for Texas licensure.
Other Information
HOP 4.1.16 Remote Work Arrangements. A UT Tyler Remote Work
Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and
other standard office equipment may be required. Individuals that
work remotely may be required to work on campus on an infrequent
basis.

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System
of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per
week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option
to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS,
subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135
days in length.
