Remote Bioinformatics Scientist

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Bioinformatics Scientist to join their innovative research team. This is a fully remote, full-time position allowing you to contribute to cutting-edge scientific discovery from anywhere. You will be responsible for the analysis, interpretation, and management of large-scale biological datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics data. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field, with a strong track record of applying computational approaches to biological problems. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing bioinformatics pipelines, performing statistical analysis, visualizing data, and collaborating with biologists and other researchers to advance scientific understanding. Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, along with experience in relevant bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser), is essential. Experience with machine learning techniques applied to biological data is a significant plus. You must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and effectively communicate complex findings through presentations and written reports.
