Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers, assessing their needs, and providing personalized solutions and recommendations
  • Learn about blithequark's products and services using our tools and technologies, and use this knowledge to provide expert advice and guidance to customers
  • Sell entire projects, not just individual products, by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring that they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Work cooperatively with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals, improve customer satisfaction, and drive business growth
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Stay up-to-date with new products, services, and technologies, and use this knowledge to provide innovative solutions and expert advice to customers

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of customer service, sales, and product knowledge skills. You should be a strong communicator, able to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction. You should also be a team player, able to work cooperatively with others to achieve common goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or retail, preferably in a similar industry or sector
  • Strong product knowledge, particularly in areas such as building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on achieving sales goals and improving customer satisfaction
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
