Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine core marketing measurement frameworks and models, including attribution, lift, CLV, ROI, testing approach, and segmentation
  • Drive forward-thinking strategy for performance marketing partners by transforming raw data into meaningful and actionable analyses characterized by strong storytelling, method clarity, and clear documentation
  • Play a critical role in determining how we can best engage and grow blithequark customers by identifying and targeting opportunities for growth through analysis of behavioral and transactional data
  • Identify key metrics that drive the performance of marketing channels and marketing products, make these accessible to partners through dashboards and reports, and drive these metrics through statistical analyses of experiments
  • Continuously assess and refine your technical toolkit, sharing your knowledge with the team and contributing to the development of best practices

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a data scientist/analyst or in a quantitative role in which you extracted insights from large datasets with minimal engineering support
  • Experience with performance/digital marketing operations, channel attribution, lift and lifetime value models, statistical tools and frameworks, and finding efficient growth strategies
  • Proficiency in SQL and either R or Python; additional experience with the Hadoop ecosystem or extra scripting languages (Scala, PHP, Ruby, etc.) is a plus
  • Proven ability to communicate your insights verbally, visually, and in writing with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Open to guiding others, recommending tools and standard approaches to improve the efficiency of the team's work
  • Strong, independent, analytical problem solver who enjoys thinking critically and solving complex and nuanced problems
  • Passionate about topics like experimental design, data visualization, and statistical analysis techniques

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, or other data visualization software
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices
