As a Temporary Customer Service Associate, you will be part of a talented team that is dedicated to excellence and driven by a shared vision of delivering exceptional customer experiences. **Key Responsibilities** As a Temporary Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving issues in a fair, friendly, and efficient manner. * Registering sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. * Engaging customers and patients by offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience. * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items. * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested; processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records. * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss. * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products). * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures. * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products. * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance. * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers. **Essential Qualifications** To be successful as a Temporary Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will need: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, patients, and colleagues in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner. * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues and concerns in a fair and efficient manner. * Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm. * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. * Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset: * Previous customer service experience, preferably in a retail or healthcare environment. * Basic knowledge of store systems and store equipment. * Experience with digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time. **Skills and Competencies** To succeed as a Temporary Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. * Basic math skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to work flexible hours. * Basic knowledge of store systems and store equipment. * Experience with digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Temporary Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop your customer service skills and knowledge, with training and support from experienced colleagues and managers. * Learn about our products and services, and develop a deeper understanding of our business and operations. * Participate in special projects and initiatives, and contribute to the success of our team. * Develop your leadership skills, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and lead projects and initiatives. * Access to training and development programs, including PPLs (Product Proficiency Learning) and other training initiatives. **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a Temporary Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where no two days are ever the same.
