Graphic Designer (Remote)
Job description:
First Station Media is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team. As such, you will be responsible for creating visual, written, and multimedia communications for various marketing platforms (print and web). The Graphic Designer will work closely with the marketing team to ensure that visual designs communicate the desired message to the intended audience(s), are properly branded, and meet corporate standards. You must be capable of developing creative concepts while taking direction from internal clients. Two to three years of verifiable experience creating print designs and working on digital assets is strongly preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for creating print designs (flyers, brochures, magazine ads, postcards, etc.) and digital graphic assets
• Must become familiar with email campaign websites and designs for them
• Responsible for seeing assigned graphic design projects through from concept to completion, including preparing final designs for production and distribution
• Able and willing to improve technical knowledge and hone design skills in an effort to stay current with trends in social media, design, and advertising
• Accept creative direction and bring creative vision to the team in a collaborative and open-minded manner
• Develop and implement creative and effective marketing strategies on time and within budget
• Be motivated about your work; execute excellence
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, WordPress, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar platforms is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Well-organized and willing to adapt to established systems of organization
• Ability to prioritize and react favorably to an ever-changing environment in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and create timelines to complete projects on or before deadlines
• Knowledge of all major social media platforms
• Innovative mindset with an ability to create solutions to new and existing challenges
• Ability to work independently, with the marketing team, and with other internal and external relationships
• Self-motivated
• Experience with printing collateral (designing and printing)
• Experience in email marketing
• HTML experience
• Experience with video work is a plus
• Is available to work some nights and weekends when needed
Experience:
• Graphic design: 3 years (preferred)
• Adobe Creative Suite: 3 years (preferred)
• HTML: 1 year (preferred)
