3D LAB IMAGING SPECIALIST (HYBRID) - Radiology Support
About the position
Performs multiplanar, three-dimensional reconstructions, measurements, and quantitative data from transferred CT and MRI imaging data sets for clinical visualization and analysis. Maintain Computerized Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) competency skills by performing modality exams as scheduled. Operates Computerized Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes following all Health First policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
• Produce 3D post processing images consistent with image quality standards.
• Provide measurements and quantitative data under the supervision of a radiologist.
• Performs proper and accurate stenosis measurements, pulmonary vein mapping, and TAVR measurements.
• Accurately and timely transfer image data to and from the 3D lab workstations to PACS.
• Know and understand all CT and MR scanning and post processing protocols.
• Performs computer-related skills for optimal technical performance.
• Demonstrate effective time management, critical thinking skills, and coordinate scheduling and patient flow.
• Maintain flexibility, adapt to changes in workflow processes and the needs of the Health First organization based upon fluctuations in patient volume.
• Communicate effectively with customers (patients, LP, other Health First associates, the public, etc.) always using excellent customer relation skills.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently in a stressful work environment and able to respond to life threatening situations.
• Follow all Federal, State and Regional healthcare regulations and adhere to Joint Commission/ACR standards.
• Provide orientation and education for new technologists and assist radiologists in developing new protocols and imaging techniques.
• Must maintain skills in CT and/or MRI while complying with those specific technologist job descriptions.
Requirements
• MUST RESIDE WITHIN 1 HOUR OF HOLMES REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER.
• Graduate of one of the following:
ARRT- Recognized Accreditation Agencies.
American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Accredited MRI Programs.
• Licensed as a General Radiographer in the state of Florida, when applicable.
• Registered by one of the following:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R).
Registered by one of the following:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in CT Technology - ARRT (CT).
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MRI Technology - ARRT (MR).
American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists - (ARMRIT).
• Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a CT and/or MRI technologist.
• Two years' experience performing 3D quantitative procedures.
• Knowledge and thorough understanding of all 3D post processing software, PACS, and RIS applications.
• Ability to report to department within 60 minutes when on call.
• Must have high speed internet access and the ability to respond within 10 minutes if working from home while maintaining HIPPA standards.
• Highly proficient in cross-sectional anatomy and complex anatomy and physiology relating to 3D imaging.
Nice-to-haves
• Advanced modality technologist in a hospital setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
