Title: Solution Architect Lead (Remote | Multi-Cloud | DoD) Location: Remote Clearance: Active DoD Secret About this role: • Rackner is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect III to gather requirements and design Public, Private, and Hybrid Cloud-based system deployments and system transitions. • The Cloud Solutions Architect III will architect and plan migrations to commercial cloud service providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Office 365, GCP, or similar cloud platforms. • Will act as a technical lead on a team of architects, leading the design and recommendation for the best solution. We are looking for experience with: • Master's (10 years' exp.) / Bachelor's (14 years' exp.) degree in Engineering or Mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems) with: research, design and development of computer and network software or specialized utility which may include database maintenance within an application area • Applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting • Implement modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DevOps/DevSecOps) • Cloud Computing vendor architecture certification. • Agile Developer certification / Certified Scrum Developer certification. What will make you successful: • Work with end users and application experts to elicit requirements for designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems in cloud based systems • Lift and shift planning for data migration to and from cloud-based systems • Ingress and egress planning for data migration to and from cloud-based systems • Select appropriate cloud services based on data, database, or security requirements • Manage the integration with on-premises enterprise networks and systems • Identify appropriate use of cloud architectural best practices • Estimate cloud costs and identify cost control measures and solutions • Provide tasking and oversight to other technical team members performing design and architecture • Provide technical clarity and direction to Cloud Iaas, PaaS, and SaaS Consultants • Review final work products for accuracy and adherence to design concepts Who We Are: • Rackner is a software consultancy that builds cloud-native solutions for startups, enterprises, and the public sector. • We are an energetic, growing consultancy with a passion for solving big problems for both startups and enterprises. • We enable digital transformation for large organizations through the newest in distributed technologies as we are laser focused on end-to-end application development, DevSecOps, AI/ML and systems architecture and our methodology focuses on cloud-first and cost-effective innovation. • Our customers hail from a diverse, ever growing list of industries.
