Exhibition Assistants must be interested in the visual arts and have two years' experience working in art galleries, museums of other exhibition spaces. The Exhibition Assistant III reports directly to the Senior Curator at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, part of the Office of Arts Engagement and Cultural Resources. Preferred Qualifications • Demonstrated participation in the coordination and implementation of exhibitions using museum best practices • Demonstrates a high level of organization, communication, and time management skills • Experiences with installation of site-specific and new media installations • Experience working with living artists, • Strong administrative skills taking direction and working independently Work Schedule/Hours Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00, for 30-40 hours, depending on exhibition schedule. Exact schedule to be worked out with immediate supervisor. Occasional evening hours during exhibition openings, ArtTalks, and reputed company programming.
