We are seeking a skilled Spanish Transcriptionist based in the United States to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent listening, linguistic, and typing skills, with a strong command of the Spanish language, including regional dialects and cultural nuances. This role involves converting Spanish audio and video recordings into accurate, clear, and well-formatted written transcripts. Responsibilities: • Accurately transcribe Spanish audio and video recordings into written text, following specified guidelines (verbatim or clean transcription). • Proofread and edit transcriptions to ensure accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and spelling. • Time Coding: Add timestamps to the transcription, if required, for synchronization purposes. Requirements: • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, with strong knowledge of various dialects and cultural nuances. • Proficiency in English for effective communication and bilingual transcription projects, if needed. • Strong typing speed and accuracy. • Previous transcription experience is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience in linguistic work is a plus. • Experience transcribing Spanish audio with multiple speakers, background noise, or regional accents is a bonus. • Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and noise-canceling headphones. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines.
