Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead our Instagram Notification Systems team. As a Data Science Manager, you will be responsible for tech leading and mentoring a team of high-performing data scientists and shaping our notification strategy through rigorous analyses and experimentation. Your primary focus will be on driving long-term engagement and growth through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists to ensure proper targeting, experimentation, and measurement to foster insights that identify the biggest opportunities and gaps for arenaflex Notifications
• Collaborate with a team of experts and data scientists across arenaflex to interpret user research and expert insights into data-driven product strategies
• Develop and implement objectives and metrics to guide and focus on growth product guides
• Lead analysis studies to identify new product opportunities and shape product strategy
• Size opportunities to ensure product teams are working on the most impactful projects
• Implement high-priority learning initiatives and measurement strategies for arenaflex products
• Partner and heavily contribute to major analytical and product drives across the arenaflex family of apps

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Computer Science, Physics)
• 3+ years of experience in Product Data Science, including in-depth experience with experimentation
• 3+ years of experience in building high-performing data science and analytics teams, including managing managers
• Working knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimentation/causal inference techniques
• Proven judgment in balancing practical business needs and scientific rigor
• Proven experience forming relationships with and influencing cross-functional leaders in engineering, product, design, research, etc.
• Proven communication skills and experience communicating with and influencing a broad range of audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (Economics, Computer Science, Physics)
• Experience working with large data stores and complex data systems
• Experience with a behavioral science discipline
