AI Software Architect - Java/AI/AWS - Remote ($150K)

Unable to sponsor | Permanent work authorization required | Must have AI development Candidate must be at an Architect or Principal Engineer level. 75% Java, 25% AI Development We are seeking a Software Architect to design scalable, enterprise-aligned solutions using Java, Python, MySQL, and AWS. In this role, you will provide development expertise, guide engineering teams on architectural best practices, and drive the integration of AI-enabled capabilities into products and internal tooling. You will research and prototype new technologies, create proofs-of-concept, and translate business requirements into maintainable, high-performing technical designs. The architect will collaborate closely with product, data, cloud, and security teams, participate in code and architecture reviews, and produce clear technical documentation and design artifacts. Qualifications: • 7–10+ years of software development with experience designing distributed systems; • Strong expertise in Java, Python, MySQL, integration patterns, and AWS services; • Hands-on prototyping skills • Proven development experience using AI enabled models and automation tools like Claude or Cline AI • Familiarity with Agile delivery • Strong analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, and the ability to lead technical decision-making in a fast-evolving environment. • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
